Photography Workshop
Film Focused is a photography workshop for both film and digital shooters. Learn more about what we'll cover!
Are you feeling called to be creative?
Follow your passions? Try something new or finally go hard with your photography career? Film Focused is a passion of mine and I want to share it with you so you can have all of the above.
In this photography workshop we will cover aspects that are important to learn to be a stand-out photographer whether you shoot on film or digital, so regardless of your tool of choice, you'll have a great time and you'll learn something new.
Why learn from me?
If you don't know anything about me and why you would want to learn from me, I'll touch on a few things. I've been a photographer for 7 years and run a successful wedding photography business as well as shooting commercial and fashion. I've shot for Vera Wang, Moana Bikini, Made With Love Bridal, Georgie Stevenson, Cocobella, Penny Skateboards & so many more plus literally thousands of family, couple, wedding and portrait shoots. I've done my ten-thousand hours to master this, to say the least.
Apart from growing up shooting film, I have been doing it properly since 2018 out of sheer passion and since then have booked many professional jobs shooting on film. It's something I really nerd out on and dream about and wake up thinking about.
I have so much I can share with you, so come be in front of me.
To be specific, we'll go over:
-
Flattery when posing a model / clients
-
Directing your clients - (arguably one of the most important aspects of the job for client experience / word of mouth referrals around the industry & getting the photo outcome you have in your head).
-
Light and shadow, what to look for.
-
Composition, cropping & variety.
-
Which film to use for the job.
-
Using your light meter in your film camera to expose well.
-
Exposing film for shadows V highlights.
-
An open Q&A where you can ask me anything about the photography industry, settings, lenses, editing, business - go nuts.
What you need to bring:
-
Your camera whether film or digital. (If film, bring a roll!)
-
A notepad & pen
-
An open mind to learn some new shit and feed your soul with other humans on a similar journey.
