Our Moana Bikini & Nickelodeon Campaign Shoot

Shooting for Moana Bikini had always been on my "too good to be true" list of career goals. Their brand aligns with my personality and values so much that it felt like I won the lottery when Karina messaged me asking me to shoot my first campaign with them. If you love Moana as much as I do, you'll love this little BTS insight into photographing campaigns for our beloved Queensland based swimwear community.

Fast forward, a pile of campaign shoots and countless studio shoots with them later and they asked me to be the photographer for the biggest deal brand collaboration that the Gold Coast swimwear scene has ever seen. Moana Bikini X Nickelodeon.

Shooting for Moana and Nickelodeon was honestly one of the highlights of my career (and I am gonna say life) because my camera is everything to me and being trusted by such big, global brands to capture the imagery and essence of what they want to show to the world was flattering at best.

Karina is an incredible person to work with because she isn't afraid to speak her mind about what she wants and I am not afraid to ask for help and direction when needed (because her vision is so needle point accurate). I always want to nail it, so I put my 7 years of experience behind me and go into learner-mode when I am around her and I pick her brain about everything. She's created the most incredible brand and community and she is a wealth of knowledge and I count my lucky stars she's happy to share some of it with me.

Everyone at Moana HQ is so happy with work and so into their jobs with a passion, it's utterly infectious. When you step into the building you feel sparkly, happier, uplifted and empowered. Good vibes are always buzzing around there because everyone is so cared for, loved, heard and appreciated. They welcomed me into their little family like a distant cousin that they're always stoked to see at Christmas, except "Christmas" is "photoshoots" and I'm not so distant (our offices are 5 minutes apart).

I'm endlessly grateful to be a part of any creative project of theirs and even happier that I get to shoot for a brand that I believe in with my whole heart and soul.
